Rachel M. Boyajian is a filmmaker and choreographer in Los Angeles, CA. Her choreography has been most notably presented at the National Taiwan University for Arts in Taipei(Taiwan), PACT Zollverien(Germany), Casarsa della Dilizia(Italy), Teatro Comunale Polcenigo(Italy), Salon Marbella(Mexico), REDCAT(Los Angeles), Julia Morgan Theater(Berkeley) and The Orpheum Theater(Kansas). Rachel has created works for three American College Dance Festivals, Alithea Mime Theater, Kansas Dance Festival, Contemporary Music Festival, DanceIS Festival, Diavolo Unplugged, Ruhrtriennale Festival and the WCDT Italy tour. She has been commissioned by Wichita State University, UALR, CalStateUniversity LA and taught dance at California Institute of the Arts, LABallet School, AMDA and Diavolo Dance Theater. Rachel has her MFA in Choreography from CalArts, BFA in Dance from WSU and is an alum of the USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA program in Film Production. Rachel is a former recipient of the ARC Pasadena Grant. She has won multiple grants and awards as a filmmaker including the Fox Grant, multiple Panavision Grants, USC finishing fund, funding from Alibaba Pictures and Freed of London. Her accolades include premieres at Slamdance, Women in Film Fest, LA Shorts Fest, special screenings at UTA and CAA, and scholarships and teaching assistantships at USC SCA.
