Rachel M. Boyajian is a director, choreographer, animator and educator in Los Angeles, CA. Her work has been most notably presented at the National Taiwan University for Arts in Taipei(Taiwan), at PACT Zollverien(Germany), the Teatro Pier Paolo Pasolini Casarsa della Dilizia(Italy), the Teatro Comunale Polcenigo(Italy), the Salon Marbella Manzanillo(Mexico), REDCAT(Los Angeles), the Julia Morgan Theater(Berkeley) and the Orpheum Theater(Kansas). Rachel has created works for three American College Dance Festivals, the Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, the Kansas Dance Festival, the Wichita Children’s Festival, the Contemporary Music Festival, the DanceIS Festival, Diavolo Unplugged, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the Ruhrtriennale Festival in Germany, and the WCDT tour to Italy. Her choreography has won numerous awards at talent competitions including multiple acknowledgements for Best Choreography and Best in Show. She has taught dance at the California Institute of the Arts, the Los Angeles Ballet School, California State University of Los Angeles, AMDA Los Angeles, Wichita State University, Encore Dance Studios, Poetry in Motion, The Next Step, RenArts Academy and Diavolo Dance Theater. Rachel has her MFA in Choreography/Dance from the California Institute of the Arts and she is an alum of the USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA program in Film Production.
